Carlton - priorities

Close off Faraday Street outside Kathleen Syme Library to create a new pocket park, offering a green space where residents can relax, and children can play.

Identify other underused or wide streets for closure and transform them into pocket parks, creating additional green spaces for the Carlton community to enjoy.

Introduce visitor parking permits for Carlton residents to make it easier for family and friends to visit, reducing      parking-related stress.

Prioritise the replacement of footpaths along Queensberry Street to Elgin Street to ensure safe and accessible walkways for all residents and visitors.

Provide funding to support the continued operation of La Mama Theatre, a critical cultural institution in Carlton, ensuring it remains a hub for creativity and local artists.
